Heritage Should Be Worn, Not Kept Behind Glass

San Yi Cheng Silk Workshop opened on Fengmu Lane in Hangzhou in 1934. Today we weave scarves and hijabs for wholesale buyers in 13 languages, from the same city, with the same insistence on real cloth.

Why We Still Weave

Heritage, carried into daily wear.

01

A Craft With Depth

Chinese silk weaving has two thousand years of pattern and meaning behind it. Cloth was never just cloth here — it carried status, season and story.

02

Why It Faded

Handwoven cloth retreated into museums, or was replaced by cheap printed imitations. The craft was never the problem — the context was.

03

Ano ang ginagawa namin

We turn real fabric into scarves and hijabs people actually wear: chiffon, cotton-linen, jersey, modal, satin, lace and nylon, cut and finished for daily use.

04

Who We Serve

Boutiques, hijab brands, Amazon sellers and distributors — from 10 pcs per combination in stock, from 300 pcs per design for custom runs.

A Name Traced Back to 1934

Fengmu Lane, Hangzhou — the historic heart of China’s silk trade.

Our workshop name, San Yi Cheng (三義成), traces back to 1934, when the silk workshop first opened on Fengmu Lane in Hangzhou. The lane sat in the centre of a silk trade that had run for more than a thousand years.

What survived from that era is a way of working: buy the cloth yourself, check it by hand, finish it properly, and quote a price you can stand behind. We kept that method when the product changed from brocade to scarves and hijabs.

Every order still starts with cloth we have touched, not a catalogue photo.

We Do Not Make Fast Fashion

Cloth that lasts a season is waste. We make cloth that survives the wash.

We buy from mills we can visit, we finish edges so they do not fray after three washes, and we quote a price that still holds when the container is loaded. If a batch does not match the approved sample, it does not ship — that is the whole promise.
